Criteria for the Direct Lending Fund – Niche Lending Award is as follows: The award is for direct lending to nice borrowers, including SMEs, industry or region focused funds or niche loan products. Judges take into account the manager’s ability to deploy in line with strategy, as well as the performance of investments, appropriate business structure, and risk control provisions.
Criteria for the Credit Newcomer Award – This award is for the best credit fund management firm launched in the last 3 years. Where performance data is limited, funds will be judged based on the firm’s business model and setup, strategy, and expertise, any early performance data is advantageous or examples of early trades or holdings (position descriptions will suffice).
