Ryan executes daily fixed income transactions for all investment strategies and portfolio managers and analysts with market commentary and analysis.
Ryan joined Samson Capital Advisors LLC in 2010 as a Trader. Samson was a privately-owned investment management firm that was founded in 2004 by senior investment professionals from OFFITBANK, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan. Prior to its acquisition by Fiera Capital, Samson managed over $7 billion in assets in customized fixed income for affluent families and their foundations, endowments and corporations.
Ryan entered the municipal bond industry in 1995, after receiving a B.A. in Marketing from St. John’s University. Previously, Ryan was a Portfolio Manager and Trader at Western Asset Management, responsible for portfolio construction and trading for high net worth individuals. Prior to joining Western Asset in 2005, Ryan held various positions including Portfolio Manager and Trader for the municipal bond strategy at Citigroup Asset Management since 1995.
Ryan is an active member of the Municipal Bond Club of New York.
